Hey, I’m Seamus!
I’ve created this website as a place to write about things I love, but don’t get to write about during my day job. Things like hiking, camping, travel, food… all the fun stuff. You can check out posts I’ve written for fun on the blog page.
Professionally, I’m a content writer. I’ve covered quite the amalgam of topics over the years, but lately I mostly write about insurance, home maintenance, and home systems. Over the years, I’ve written articles, case studies, academic papers, grant applications… the list goes on.
Academically, I started my career with the Broadcast & Media Communications diploma program at BCIT. I’ve since added a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Communications from Royal Roads University.

What does Shazmodius mean?
It sounds cool!
Ages ago, I had a friend who liked referring to people by random nicknames. One day, he called me “Shazmodius” in passing. I thought it sounded like an awesome nickname, and eventually started using it as my online username for games and Twitter and so forth.
Also, the domain name was cheap. 😛
